As we enter the holiday season, I find myself wandering back to happy holiday memories from the past as we all seem to do at this time of year. But what if this year someone or some ones were missing from around that Christmas tree. Suppose there had been a family tragedy and one or several members of the family were killed by an attack. Couldn’t happen? Think again. How many times have you spoken to someone and they state a loved one was murdered or killed unexpectantly. It’s happening more frequently and it is so unfair to be robbed of our loved ones too early in life.
I enjoy the bantering of family together, the laughter, the smiles, the joy and how each and every person is so important to me. I especially look forward this year to the laughter and joy of my grandchildren as they grow and begin to understand Christmas and the arrival of Santa Claus. I couldn’t imagine being without them or their parents-my son and daughter in law or any other family member from our large family gathering. Each one brings something special to the gathering and any one of them would be sorely missed and a hole made in the family web we have wound with each and every year of love and memories. Yet for some this year, that hole will exist-one of their loved ones has been stolen from them and while their memories will live on, their presence does not and for that there will be sadness in place of joy.
So what can be done you ask? Well, for one thing, we all need to be knowledgeable in personal protection and personal safety and we need to teach our family and loved ones the need to be knowledgeable also and put best safety practices into use each and every day. Talk to your family about ways to stay safe and share safety tips with each and every one. I get safety tips sent regularly from my dear cousin whenever he comes across something he feels may be new and he spreads the word to all the family through emails. Many of his tips have been lifesavers and things I might not have thought about until I became a security expert. Now I am the one who sends out many safety articles and tips to family and friends in the hopes if it prevents just one person from being harmed, it will be worth all my effort and then some!!
Another idea is to amend your gift list and become more practical. Instead of a sweater for Aunt Sue (She already has ten!), how about a personal alarm. She’s in her eighties and she still likes to get around by bus. Imagine her getting off the bus and having someone rush out and grab her purse as she’s trying to safely get off the bus without falling. A personal alarm can be set off by just pushing a button and I guarantee if that assailant even thinks he will be identified, he’ll drop Aunt Sue’s purse when everyone around hears the alarm and looks to see what is going on.
Then there’s your sister, Ellen, who is a successful realtor and shows house after house in a normal work week. Is there any chance one of those who comes to be shown a home may not have home buying on their mind. Read the news and there are stories of realtors and other occupations as such, going to a home and being assaulted by a make believe home buyer who really wants to rob and/or assault the realtor and for that purpose only. But a pepper spray and/or small stun gun carried inconspicuously could prevent any harm to your sister and she could share the tale next holiday of how she zapped the criminal and then watched him hauled away to jail!
There are many other personal security and personal safety products that would make great holiday gifts and keep your family safe for the coming year and many more to come. Need more convincing? Well, I can’t help you there-you see I’m going to be busy for the next several hours going through my Christmas list and buying alarms for the elderly parents and aunts and uncles, pepper sprays and stun guns for my sisters and aunts, and then there’s my niece who is going to be starting college and the Safe At Home Extreme College Survival Kit would be perfect for her. Goodness knows I’ll have my Christmas shopping done early this year and have the satisfaction of giving a useful and very needed gift to one and all!
So don’t wait-get started with your list and give something this year that has meaning. A personal security gift says “I love you” in a way that most other gifts don’t even come close to. Best Protection has a great selection of holiday specials coming out this week, as well as Black Friday and Cyber Monday specials for your shopping ease at: http//www.personalsecuritycompany.com and http://www.electronicsurveillancecompany.com. Besides, you’ll have your shopping out of the way too and can enjoy some of the season for a change. My granddaughter’s smiles are worth a million-how about yours? I don’t want to miss a second of these special moments fighting my way through crowds and throngs of other shoppers. You’ll find me with my shopping done, playing with my grandchildren and building those memories. Hope you have many memories created this holiday season and have a safe, secure year ahead for you and those you love!
Your personal protection is your responsibility. Have you made a security plan for yourself yet? Even thought about it? The majority of persons will answer no, but in reality, in this day and age, it is one of the most important needs you need to have ready and understand. It is no surprise that crime is rising and the economy is only making it worst. The fact is that sooner or later you may in all reality become a victim of some type of criminal activity. If that activity involves your safety of which most do, you need to be ready to protect yourself-with a personal protective weapon, self defense tactics you’ve learned, an alarm that calls attention to the situation, or whatever means you choose. The big fact is that it is your responsibility to make sure you stay safe! Gone are the days when we relied on law enforcement for protection-there aren’t enough law officers to go around. No-it’s up to you and hopefully this article will give you an idea of where to start.
The first task you must do is look at personal security devices and see if any of these devices will work for you. There are a number of non-lethal weapons available to include personal alarms, pepper sprays, stun guns, kubotans, batons, and more. The most popular weapons are pepper spray, stun guns and personal alarms, so we’ll concentrate on these. Pepper spray comes in several different forms-spray, foam, and gel. All of these will cause the assailant’s eyes to tear and shut, cause difficulty breathing, but not to the point of being lethal, and at that point, render the assailant unable to continue the attack. With foams and gels, the harder the criminal rubs to get the product off, the more it rubs into the skin, causing more effects. These products come in keychain models, canister models, and disguised models such as the pepper spray pen, the pepper spray lipstick case, etc. where the assailant has no idea they are about to be sprayed until, surprise!
Stun guns are also popular weapons which, when used, give off a voltage charge that turns the criminals glucose into lactic acid and his muscles have no energy. He or she slumps and may fall and is unable to move or do anything further until the effects wear off. This is the time you have to run to safety as this is the main objective of all non-lethal weapons-to give the victim the time and chance to get away to safety. There are many different models of stun guns as well as disguised models which again will catch the assailant off-guard as he or she is not expecting to be stunned until it happens.
The other popular self protection device is the personal alarm. While not a weapon per se, the personal alarm is useful in that it is a high decibel alarm that can be heard for quite some distance. When set off it attracts anyone in the vicinity. Now most criminals do not want an audience, so chances are when the alarm is set off, the criminal is going to run and if not, you should have plenty of help in a very short time!
Some persons do not want to rely just on a weapon, as they feel they could be attacked at a time when the weapon is no where around. In this case they want to learn self defense techniques and this is also a great idea. There are many classes-usually free- being given to citizens to teach self defense moves and most karate, judo and other such learning centers also teach self defense in great detail. You can also check out videos online and articles that feature defensive moves with video demonstrations that you can practice. The word here is practice-practice using your weapon, practice doing your self defense moves, practice and practice some more, as you want to be comfortable and knowledgeable of how you need to react if an attack is for real. The time of the attack is not the time to figure out how that pepper spray works, or to see if you can really do a tracheal crush with your arm.
Now there may be a time when you don’t have a weapon available and you do not know any self defense maneuvers, but you do know how to yell and yelling “fire” or any other word that will bring attention is one thing you can do. Another is to hold your keys in your hand so the end is sticking out and can be use to drive into your attacker in the weakest and most vulnerable points you can find- the neck, the eyes, the throat, etc. It may sound gruesome, but it is your life that is at stake at that very moment!
I hope this article has caused you some fuel for thought! This is a subject that bears thought now and not when the time has come to defend yourself. At Best Protection-http://www.personalsecuritycompany.com, we strive to bring you the best and latest information on personal security. Feel free to visit our blog at http://www.bestprotectionblog and
our scoop it site where you will find a wealth of great information. Until then, you need to do your homework and develop your own security plan so if and when crime strikes, you are ready.
Crime is all around us and unfortunately in the present economy, crime is on the increase as criminals seek means to obtain whatever they can and when they can from unsuspecting victims. At a time like this it is everybody’s responsibility to stay alert and carry whatever personal protection they need to keep theirselves safe and prevent becoming the next crime victim. Staying alert and aware of your surroundings is paramount to keeping yourself safe. Look around you and be aware of thick bushes or other places that would give a possible assailant cover. Carry yourself with an air of confidence. Criminals are looking for easy prey and not for someone who might put up a fight or more!
Some people carry a keychain pepper spray on their person to have ready at a moment’s notice. Others carry a personal alarm. These alarms are designed to set off a high decibel sound that will attract attention and hopefully get the attacker running. Many of these alarms are also equipped with a flashlight which is handy for finding keys inside a dark purse or other items in a hurry. There are a variety of mobile security devices on the market and visiting a security store will give you a better idea of what is available and which fits your needs. If you do happen to get caught by an attacker without a weapon handy, always remember keys can be used as a weapon to punch at the criminal at a sensitive area, so that you may be given enough time to get loose and/or get away to safety. If you are near your car, most new keys have a built in alarm but you have to be in close proximity to your vehicle to have it work.
When you do go out, remember to lock your home up and then lock your vehicle as soon as you enter. Keep your windows up and never get into your vehicle before first looking inside to ensure no one is in hiding in the vehicle. If possible, it is best to have someone to go out with instead of alone, but that is not always possible. If you do go out alone, remember to park in an area of activity and not in a desolate or quiet area. If you are shopping and feel unsafe, you can always ask the security guard to walk out to your car with you for added safety. Avoid carrying a purse if at all possible and carry only the minimum you need. Try not to carry a large amount of cash and dress casually so as not to draw attention to yourself.
When home, do not leave valuable lying about. Most security companies have a variety of diversion safes that offer a great place to store money and valuables safely out of sight. Again keep not only your doors, but also windows, garage doors and any other possible entry ways for thieves and criminals closed and locked. Security cameras are a great asset for keeping an eye on your yard and home at all times and prices are now reasonable. If you are considering some type of camera security system, be sure to talk with a security store expert before purchasing, as each camera system has various characteristics and when purchasing, you want to be sure you get the type of system that will perform to your expectations and that you are satisfied with. Have a peep hole on your door and ask who ever approaches who they are and what they are there for. Do not open the door if you do not trust the person on the other side and always ask for identity and/or badges from service people.
A great idea that has been taking root is organizing a neighborhood watch system where those with security cameras take turns keeping an eye on the vicinity and notify neighbors of anyone or anything suspicious. If possible form a group to go to the Laundromat, or for shopping or errands, again, so you are traveling in a group instead of alone. Groups tend to ward off assailants who are looking for that lone person as their next victim for a crime.
I hope this article gives you some food for thought and some tips on how to stay as safe as possible. No one wants to become the next victim of crime and with a little forethought and insight, this will never happen to you!
There has been a lot of controversial talk about how we are becoming a state of surveillance and that we are losing all our privacy. My opinion is that times are continually changing and right now with the state of the economy, crime has increased and law enforcement just cannot keep up with every call that comes in. There has to be an answer or solution and one of the best so far has been the addition of both private and law enforcement surveillance to add that second pair of eyes that police need when they can’t be in two places at once! Just tonight, I read an article on how the city of Atlanta has found it is keeping its citizens safer by the installation of surveillance in strategic areas to help law enforcement both keep an eye on high crime areas as well as view some crimes in action giving them the video footage they need to catch the criminals and get them off the streets.
Many parks and housing units had gates and security personnel but found the expense had become too great; the answer came in having surveillance cameras both at the gate and strategic areas of the park. Private Citizens have also pitched in as a type of citizen’s watch using their own surveillance cameras to alert friends and neighbors when they notice abnormal activity or behavior-a kind of surveillance neighborhood watch!!
Working couples too have their problems-many have elderly parents at home or children who they can’t be there for at every turn. Instead, surveillance has been used to give them insight 24 hours a day to view what is happening at home so they have more control over their home life. If caregivers are involved, they can also monitor the care being given to their loved ones and children to make sure they are given the care expected and no abuse or negligence is going on when they can’t be there.
How many people take vacations and worry the whole time that someone or something could happen to their home while they are gone. With surveillance, while they are gone, they can continually monitor the homestead and if something doesn’t look right, they can call a neighbor or if needed law enforcement to check out the situation and put their mind at ease so they can enjoy that vacation they’ve looked forward to for so long! In fact a model of the homes of the future is set up with electronics to include surveillance and it includes the ability to turn lights on and off, open and close shades, turn surveillance cameras on and off all using a mobile phone.
Many people have pets and feel the need to check on them from time to time during the day. With surveillance, this can be accomplished without any problem and you can look in on your pet’s right from your cell phone while at work, out shopping or wherever the day takes you.
Life has changed and has gotten busier than ever and with the age of electronics it seems it can only get faster. To compensate, we need to utilize the knowledge of electronics we have not only to speed our work time and increase our productivity, but also to use this technology to decrease the stress and tasks we carry in keeping a home, raising a family, traveling and being much more mobile.
If you haven’t set up a surveillance or security camera system yet for your home, you need to seriously consider it and consult with a security professional or specialist that promotes such products and has the knowledge and resources to help guide you in getting the type of system that best fits your needs. At Best Protection-http://www.personalsecuritycompany.com and http://www.electronicsurveillancecompany.com we have camera techs to answer your questions and help you pick the best camera or system for your particular needs. Don’t let crime beat you-prepare your home before something happens. If you wait until crime strikes, it’s too late.
I don’t know how many of you are familiar with the new “Scoop It” article promotion and social media site, but I have been using it the last couple weeks to post some articles on topics I am engaged with such as personal security, security cameras, etc. One of the topics I post articles on is personal security products, but it was while I was bringing up the site, that someone else’s article and picture caught my eye. On the page was a picture of two dogs who had been hung from a clothesline by their ears with clothes pin. I was horrified. Now those that know me know what an animal lover and especially a dog lover I am, and I had to immediately comment about how horrified I was. It literally made me sick. I have since returned to the site to see that action is being taken against the issuer of this horrific act and a petition is being circulated of which I signed and there are a mass of people who feel as I did and are also speaking up to prevent this person from publishing as well as try to track him down for just punishment. They are just horrid, hateful individuals who evidently have no conscience and don’t care what they do or what the consequences of their actions are.
With this in mind, is there any question that one would not want to carry a personal security weapon or product on them and with them at all times. We don’t know who we might come in contact with in our day to day lives. These people may look absolutely normal on the outside, but on the inside, they are evil and full of meanness-not caring who or what they hurt. Not only do we come in contact with them but our family members, children, etc come in contact with them as well. I don’t know about you, but it scares me to death to know that someone of that caliber could be living nearby or working in the same area I work or living near my grandchildren’s school.
I urge you to get something if nothing other than pepper spray that you can carry on your person for protection should you need it. There are a variety of personal security products and what you choose is strictly up to you. At Best Protection, we carry a wide range of products from pepper sprays, kubotans, stun guns, stun batons, personal alarms, and much more. Take a look at the various products and see what you would be most comfortable carrying. The basic idea is to carry something so that you can protect yourself if you need to.
I hope I never see a picture as horrifying as the one I saw yesterday, but I’m afraid that I probably will one day soon as the world has changed and there are those who think the morals of right and wrong do not apply to them. They do what they want with no concern for the consequences. This make me sad and I hope all the good people in this world will let those who act out that it is not right and take a stand for the animals; for ourselves; for a better world.
When someone talks about doing home improvements, they usually start talking about kitchen remodeling, getting new furniture, painting a room a new color, etc. but you rarely hear them talk about improving the security system for their home if they indeed even have a home security system in place. However, home security camera systems for home protection are fast becoming popular as more and more people grow tired of home invasions, home destruction, stolen vehicles, etc. They feel helpless and are looking for a solution to their problem. If that sounds like you, then you definitely need to keep reading.
Home security camera systems for home protection are fast proving their value. If your home is broken into without a system in place it is hard if not impossible for law enforcement to find the culprit. Many of these so called burglars are professionals and know how to perform their operation without leaving any telltale signs. But with a home security camera system in place, there is video provided which helps law enforcement to identify the criminal and hopefully get an identity and an arrest and, hopefully, get back any of your possessions that might have been stolen in the process. News lately is filled with stories of home owners just like yourself who were so thankful they had a security camera system in place as they were victimized and the video provided law enforcement with the information they needed to solve the crime swiftly.
When choosing a home security camera system for home protection, you need to know exactly how much area you will be monitoring and in what type of weather and lighting conditions. You also have to decide whether you want wired or wireless. The wired is less expensive, but the wireless definitely has advantages such as wireless transmission with the only cord involved being the one used to plug into the power source. Wireless cameras use a wireless transmitter and receiver to transmit the signal to your DVR or receiver device. You will also need to choose between a variety of camera types such as dome, infrared, hidden, etc. All are good cameras but again it depends on where and how you are to use the security camera or cameras.
Dome cameras are very versatile and if you have any worries of someone tampering with the camera, there is even a vandal-resistant camera if such is needed. They work well inside or out and in good as well as poor lighting. Hidden cameras work well if you want your camera disguised, but know that the one camera will work well for that room only and if you want the majority of the home under surveillance, you will need multiple cameras to get the job done. A very popular camera recently is the infrared camera as it works well in all sorts of weather conditions and even in poor to no lighting. Because the infrared lighting is installed at the edge of the camera, it provides for the camera to have light up to 25 feet even in dark and unlighted areas. A system of infrared cameras can be set up to monitor a large area relatively economically but know that any quality camera will cost some money. If bought too cheaply, you end up with just that and that is an unreadable or blurred picture that is useless to anyone.
If possible, it is best to speak to a security expert regarding choosing the right camera for you, but if this is not possible, then I hope these tips help you on your hunt for a home security camera system for your home’s protection.

These days criminals are out for anything that has value-objects that can be sold or pawned for quick money be it for drugs, gas, etc.
They look to areas and locations that appear like there will be objects of value to be taken-luxury homes and vehicles, businesses that sell high dollar items that can be picked up quickly and stolen easily. Besides home and businesses, they also look at high dollar recreational vehicles such as RV’s and Boats. Boats can be a thief’s goldmine as they are relatively unattended much of the time, yet there can be high dollar equipment on these boats such as radios, depth finders, fishing equipment, etc. which doesn’t come cheap, and much more. In fact, one of the new trends in robbery is precisely at docks and at waterfronts where thieves have much less danger of being caught and more open range for their criminal activities. That is why there is a new personal security weapon made especially for the water or for water front activities and that is Pepper Gel Maritime. This pepper product is made of a thick gel like formula so that if there is any wind in the area, the user isn’t in danger of having the pepper product blowing back onto them. Pepper Gel Maritime has the same effects as a pepper spray but the safety of the gel form which protects the user from any back wind effect. The product comes in a canister with a pistol grip handle and safety pin that prevents accidental discharge. This is especially handy when boating and equipment can roll around or get tossed around the boat and no one would want the pepper gel going off accidentally. It has an effective range of up to 25 feet so one does not need to get too close to their assailant. There is pepper spray or pepper weapons for cars, homes, jogging, and personal use to name a few, and now there is a pepper weapon made especially for use with boating and water sports. So the next time you think about spending a day fishing, water-skiing, or having fun any other way on the water, don’t forget to pack the Pepper Gel Maritime along with the sunscreen and other supplies-it might be the best thing you ever packed if you come across the need for protection! Now the Pepper Gel Maritime is great for protection if one comes into contact with an assailant but what about those times when your boat is unattended. These are the times when thieves take the opportunity to come aboard and take your electronics and other high dollar items. This is when a surveillance or security camera comes in handy. These security cameras can be mounted for best viewing range and depending on the type you choose, can be used in night as well as daytime lighting and in various weather conditions. Certain camera models are especially made for all-weather conditions. Recent events have been written in newspapers and magazines about the value of video surveillance for catching criminals and having a boat in a secluded area is all the more reason to have a security camera installed in order to keep an eye on your boat and equipment. Most cameras can be installed to be displayed on video giving you the opportunity for real time monitoring of your boat when desired. Security experts can help you find the best camera to meet your needs. So before you go to enjoy a day of boating only to find your boat has fallen victim to thieves, get a security camera and make sure you have a monitoring system that keeps an eye on your possessions 24 hours a day!r For all your pepper product needs and surveillance needs, be sure and visit us at Best Protection at http://www.personalsecuritycompany.com. We offer a wide variety of pepper products and security cameras and are always there to answer any of your security or product questions!
Swimming Safety Tips:
The second most cause of death to a child age 14 and under is drowning and the first cause of death for toddlers and young children age 4 and under is also drowning. Swimming then is a fun water sport but also should be taken very seriously when it comes to safety! The first and foremost tip is to always have an adult in attendance when children are using the pool. It only takes seconds to a minute or more for drowning to occur and it is a tragedy that can so easily be prevented!
Pool owners should consider a fence to guard around the pool area. But even then, a child can sometimes find away to get to the pool unnoticed. Because of this, one should also consider a pool alarm. These alarms monitor the pool and set off an alarm alerting the pool owner if a child or small animal accidentally falls into the pool. Only one alarm could be the difference between life and death for your child. At Best Protection we have an excellent pool alarm that hooks directly to the side of the pool and can be found: http://www.personalsecuritycompany.com/Advanced-Security-Systems/Pool-Alarm/167.html if you desire more information.
Never leave the pool area if you are the adult supervisor even if you say it is only for a minute. That minute could be the time when an accident happens. Whenever water fun is over, clear the pool area of pool toys eliminating the temptation for children to want to return to the pool to play.
A good practice is to take a CPR course and then keep your skills updated. Knowing what to do and how to do it could save a life especially when minutes count!

The world gets busier every day and so do our schedules! There’s children to get ready for school and get to activities before and after school, there’s meals to plan and prepare, a house to clean, laundry to do and don’t forget the shopping! And of course there is that full-time job/career we hold down in the midst of all the other tasks mentioned. It’s no wonder that we sometimes pray for an extra pair of hands and a second brain and of course lots of extra patience. But one thing we don’t readily think of is our safety and personal security, and in this fast paced world, this is one task that should not be put off as crime is on the upswing and seems to catch us when we least expect it.
Personal security and safety is an easy fix as there are a number of devices that can be carried on our person or kept close so that we know we are prepared if we do find ourselves in danger. In that way, we can then turn our attention back to our busy lives and those of our children knowing that we are ready to defend ourselves and our family if needed. One of the simplest devices to obtain and carry is the key chain pepper spray that can be secured right on one’s key chain so it goes where ever you and your keys go. Pepper spray is easy to use and when activated causes the attacker’s eyes to shut and nose to run causing more difficulty breathing. Pepper spray is non-lethal, but does render the attacker helpless for many minutes and that is the time one needs to get away and get to safety. Pepper spray also comes in other forms such as gel and foam, and also in other containers such as the 2 oz. and 4 oz. canisters as well as disguised forms such as the pepper spray lipstick and pepper spray pen for those who want to catch their attacker off guard. The type of pepper spray and type of form is totally up to individual preference. The important thing is to carry something that can be used to defend yourself should you need to.
Another type of personal safety device is the personal alarm. This device cannot be used to protect oneself, but it does have a piercing siren type alarm that draws attention so if you feel you are in a dangerous situation, you can draw attention to your situation in a hurry. Most criminals do not appreciate an audience and will take off in a hurry once the alarm is set off.
For those in the fast lane, who prefer to carry a more powerful type of weapon, there is the stun gun and these now come in a variety of voltages as well as disguised or regular form. Stun Master is a reputable brand known for it’s years of making stun guns and has a number of models with various voltages as well as stun batons and the newest fashion flashlights that are also a stun gun in disguise. Runt, too, makes several stun guns in various voltages and works well for those with smaller hands. There are also stun batons which are especially popular with guards, night watchmen, etc. Again it is up to personal preference as to what type of stun gun you prefer to carry and know you will keep on your person so you are ready if you need to be.
No matter what personal security device you choose to carry, the important thing is to carry something so that in this busy world and life of ours, we don’t forget one important aspect of our lives and that is our safety and protection. At Best Protection, we take your safety and security seriously and carry the newest and latest products for personal protection and safety. What Every Woman Needs to Know About Self Defense
When it comes to criminals, they usually choose targets that are weaker and smaller than themselves. That is why so many times women and the elderly are the targets of a criminal attack. Many articles have been written lately showing how different towns and cities are educating their women and children and the elderly on how to defend themselves should they find themselves the target of an attack. For instance, I found a recent article in an Idaho newspaper that read : taken from KPVI News 6 from East Idaho
In the United States every nine seconds a woman is assaulted or beaten. In just Idaho Falls there were 142 aggravated assaults reported in 2010 and projections show that in 2013 there will be an increase to 187. The Apple Athletic Club held a free self-defense workshop for women this past Saturday and plans to hold another next weekend. Summer Joy stopped by to learn what women can do to prevent an assault and to get the details about the class.
One of the first things women can do to help prevent an assault is to be aware of your surroundings. Walk with confidence, park under a light, let family or friends know where you are or when you plan to be home.
“Once you’re in a car and someone is behind you, it’s almost over already. You need to be aware of when you open your car, does your light come on or if anything is out of place, you just have to be aware,” said Jeremy Hebard, an Instructor at the Apple for Military Taekwondo, Grappling, Kendo, and Tai Chi/Qigong.
If you are confronted, Hebard says, don’t be nice, its self-defense and you do whatever you need to, to get away.
Hebard says if you fall try and get up as fast as possible and if you carry any kind of weapon on you make sure you
practice and are familiar with it.
“The more you are aware, then the more prepared you are for it and remember you need to practice techniques or get involved at a martial arts class. It doesn’t matter if it’s with me or someone else. It’s about teaching us how to defend ourselves, it’s not a safe world,” said Hebard.
Hebard ends by encouraging women to try and avoid dangerous situations, practice self-defense often, and remember there are no rules when your life is in danger, do or use anything necessary to survive and escape.
We at Best Protection try to bring you the best and the latest in self-defense information at all times. The most important rule is to try to remain calm so you can think as clearly as possible. As the article stated-if you do carry a personal protection weapon, practice so you know how to use it before you find yourself in a dangerous situation. If you carry pepper spray, you may want to check out our inert sprays we offer at Best Protection that are safe to use and offer practice on how to use the pepper sprays effectively.
